Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and develop data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Build and maintain data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis, catering to different reporting and analysis needs.
- Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring processes, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot data-related issues, optimize data processes, and improve performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and contribute to the adoption of best practices.
Position Requirements
- To have a quantitative and analytical background. For example, a degree in fields such as Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, or similar
- Previous experience as an Analytics Engineer or similar role, with a strong foundation in data engineering and analytics.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and database design principles.
- Strong understanding of domain concepts like Keys, Dimensions, Star schemas, snowflake schemas, OLAP, DWH, ODS, EDW, DataLake
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, and workflow orchestration (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development.
- Strong programming skills in languages like SQL, Python, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Nice to have:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
