Job Description
What will you be doing?
- Manage the accounting close for U.S. operations and the consolidated entity, coordinating with overseas counterparts.
- Supervise a team of two direct reports handling Gurobi’s global procurement process and U.S. payroll, collaborating across departments such as People (HR), Sales, Support (Experts), Research and Development, and Marketing.
- Prepare and review general ledger transactions to ensure accurate recording in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Work with the Global Controller and VP of Finance to manage Gurobi’s treasury process, including cash disbursements, bank reconciliations, and lender reporting.
- Assist in managing and optimizingGurobi’s financial systems and ERP software for data accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the annual audit and assist internal and external tax specialists with compliance activities.
- Contribute to the global budget and forecasting process.
- Assess the impact of proposed significant transactions, such as integrating new business acquisitions or expansions.
- Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
What experience and qualifications should you have?
- 5+ years in senior accountant or manager roles in private industry, with direct supervision experience, preferably in technology. Public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in using NetSuite or comparable ERP systems and familiarity with Salesforce, similar CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
