Welocalize is seeking a Bilingual Metadata Specialist with native-level fluency in Japanese and business-level English to work on quality assurance, localization, and content review for consumer technology products. The role involves evaluating text quality, creating content, and collaborating with international teams to improve product quality. As a Bilingual metadata specialist, you will be responsible for QA testing, adhering to project standards, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will work on repetitive tasks, prioritize issues quickly, and maintain attention to detail. With experience in advanced spreadsheet software and knowledge of the film and TV industry, you will contribute to the success of Welocalize's clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has effective communication skills, and can navigate ambiguity with informed judgment calls.

Welocalize are seeking Bilingual Metadata Specialists with backgrounds in many locales and languages. You will be working at a leading consumer technology company as a contributor to the finished products released in target markets across the globe. You will evaluate the quality of both written and spoken text for services as it relates to your area of linguistic and geographic expertise. In addition, you may also work on content review and creation for Music and TV applications.
You will work cooperatively with international teams to monitor and improve the quality of client products and partner data integrations.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of accountability of the Bilingual metadata specialist:
- QA various products in by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides and client-preferred checklists and glossaries.
- Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner.
- Ability to stay motivated and deliver results while working on repetitive tasks.
- Ability to prioritize task and issues quickly and efficiently.
- Native level language skills and cultural awareness.
- Drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing requirements.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make informed judgment calls with information at hand.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for and knowledge of the film and TV industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

    • Have native level fluency in Japanese.
    • Business level in English. Experience with advanced spreadsheet.
    • At least one year experience working as a QA, Data Analyst or similar role.
    • Basic knowledge of iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV.
    • Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in the target language.
