Role: Business Account Manager

Reports to: Manager Business Development

Location: UK or Ireland  (100% remote)

Languages required: English (native/C2 level)

 

A quick Snapshot. The Business Account Manager is focused on three core areas of the sales process --prospecting, account management, and closing business. Day to day, the Business Account Manager spends 60% of their time establishing and cultivating relationships within current Conga customers and creating relationships with new logo customers. The remaining 40% is spent closing deals in these accounts. 

Why this role is a big deal. This role is one of the best possible initial closing roles for aspiring sales professionals. Business Account Managers are uniquely equipped with very strong sales, account management and prospecting skills that will serve them for life. Skills that make them extremely valuable to Conga. Through pipeline generation you will have a high degree of exposure to Field Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success business units. The career progression opportunities are endless.   

Are you the person we are looking for? 

Desire. We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing, and results-driven aspiring sales professional to take on this Business Account Management role. Sales professionals that want to learn, grow, and develop their career. 

Strong Prospecting Experience. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of exceeding sales development quotas and loves the thrill of the hunt. 

Capable of navigating through and building relationships within organizations. This consists of doing deep account discovery, communicating with multiple decision makers, building meaningful business relationships, growing pipeline, and helping the customer to identify and prioritizing their projects.  

Closing deals. A large part of this role is closing deals. Though closing experience is not required, we need candidates with strong organizational and follow-up skills. The ability to think ahead and work with a team to develop and execute the right selling strategy. A transparent, collaborative attitude and a bias for action is key. A competitive, friendly, humble, numbers-driven personality will thrive here. We will invest in your development. 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’re not just comfortable engaging in collaborative discussions, but initiating them, too. You are skilled at reading and adapting to different communication styles. When you speak you are clear and concise. Your strong listening skills foster connection with our clients and allows you to accurately collect the right information so you can resolve issues in the most expedient way.   

Innovative Thinking. Digital media is constantly changing, along with the rules of how we use data to target. You should want to take initiative to research new tactics and find new ways to improve campaign effectiveness.
