Celerion is hiring a remote Business Development Director to support the growth in our Bioanalytical business.

 

The Business Development Director will identify potential clients, promote and sell Celerion bioanalytical services to expand our client base while effectively communicating solutions between internal operations and external clients of Celerion.

 

This role offers a base salary plus commission structure and room for growth with strong performance. 

Essential Functions

  • Identify and develop new customers in an assigned territory or prescribed target account list.

  • Focus on sound strategies to achieve quarterly and annual goals.

  • Create tailored solutions for client challenges by engaging Celerion Subject Matter Experts in the selling process

  • Build internal relationships across business development, inside sales, proposal/finance, contract and operational teams to successfully advocate for clients’ needs and timelines.

  • Create custom proposals to provide a responsive solution for customers.

  • Negotiate pricing and contract elements.

  • Present capabilities to potential new clients as well as updating current clients on evolving analytical solutions.

  • Stay abreast of bioanalytical trends and market competitors.

  • Track and report on monthly pipeline progress.

  • Escalate issues to Manager and facilitate solutions aligned with client’s needs and Celerion’s abilities.

  • Provide continual adherence to pre-commitment and post-commitment process.

  • Manage accounts including profile development, maintenance, and strategy for key assigned accounts.

  • Utilization of database tool to monitor and record account activity.

  • Develop and carry out territory plan.

  • Recognize opportunities to cross-sell and leverage internal relationships to facilitate and pursue opportunities

  • Work in collaboration with Celerion business development colleagues to grow the bioanalytical business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years pharmaceutical/CRO sales experience or post graduate training in one of our areas of expertise required.

  • Bioanalytical experience essential

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to represent Celerion professionally at all times.

  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritize activity
