They will be responsible for crafting and executing an editorial strategy, hiring and mentoring a high-performing team, and overseeing content quality and fact-checking processes. Responsibilities:
- Craft and execute a comprehensive editorial strategy that aligns with the whole Marketing & PR Strategy, as well as business goals and audience engagement targets
- Drive the media brand's evolution to align with company growth and strategic objectives
- Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing editorial team, focusing on growth, content innovation, and engagement metrics
- Take full ownership of content quality, ensuring all editorial articles meet high readability, relevance, and SEO performance standards
- Collaborate with market players, as well as cross-functional teams to establish and manage editorial calendars, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact content
- Ensure all articles maintain consistent voice, context, and clarity, aligning with the overall editorial and Marketing & PR strategy
- Oversee thorough fact-checking processes to ensure the accuracy and credibility of published content
- Contribute to the content pipeline by writing editorial pieces, reviews, and commentary on payment news and trends
- Be ready to launch own podcasts and other new media genres
- Manage and optimise budgets for editorial operations, ensuring cost-effective content production
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal or external PR or leading editorial teams in content-driven environments, preferably fintech, finance, payments
- Excellent written communication skills: you understand how writing impacts the reader and can draft compelling and clear messages
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and deadlines
- Results-oriented attitude: every issue you initiate has a clear goal and purpose. You value readers’ time and refrain from overwhelming them with aimless content
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in leading and managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset, with a knack for tracking and interpreting data and engagement metrics
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and data-driven content strategies to boost traffic and reader retention.
