About the Role

We are seeking a Communications Specialist with strong business acumen to join our team, driving impactful communication that aligns with our ambitious goals and resonate with global and diverse audiences. You will play a critical role in writing effective communications both internally and externally , bridging complex financial and technological concepts with compelling, accessible narratives. This role requires a strategic and pragmatic thinker and do-er who understands the intersection of business, finance, and communications and thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and execute a robust communications strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact across all channels.

  • Business and Stakeholder Alignment:

    • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to understand business priorities, translating them into actionable communication plans.

    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including PR agency

  • Content Creation and Messaging:

    • Craft high-quality, engaging content, including Simplify complex fintech concepts into compelling narratives that align with brand messaging and business objectives.

  • Media Relations and PR:

    • Working with PR agency to cultivate relationships with key media outlets and industry journalists to secure impactful coverage.

    • Develop and manage press materials and responses, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Internal Communications:

    • Partner with People team and leadership to design and deliver internal communications that inspire, inform, and align employees with company goals.

  • Crisis and Issues Management:

    • Lead communications efforts during critical business moments, ensuring clear and timely messaging to mitigate risks and protect the brand.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies using KPIs and analytics, continuously refining approaches to maximise impact.

What we are looking for

  • Experience:

    • Experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or PR, with a strong preference for fintech, financial services, or technology.

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate business strategy into clear, engaging narratives.

    • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial and operational concepts.

  • Attributes:

    • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels and functions.

  • Education:

    • Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
