How you’ll make an impact (position summary):

The Digital Marketing Manager will drive Miaplaza’s D2C (direct-to-consumer) digital marketing initiatives, focusing on campaign strategy, execution, and optimization across various digital channels. You will work closely with the marketing, product, content, and development teams to craft data-driven marketing strategies that effectively reach our target audiences and support the growth of our education services. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Meta (Facebook), Google Ads, and SEO, is skilled in brand positioning, and takes a proactive approach to solving complex marketing challenges.

This role will initially be more hands-on, requiring ownership of channel updates and campaign management, with the expectation to evolve into a more strategic position as the marketing team grows and scales.

What you’ll do (responsibilities):

  • Campaign Strategy and Execution

    • Develop and manage paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and YouTube Ads to effectively reach key audiences.

    • Allocate and manage multi-million advertising budgets to maximize reach.

  • SEO and SEM Management

    • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO and SEM strategies to enhance Miaplaza’s online visibility.

  • Analytics and Reporting

    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance.

    • Conduct A/B testing to optimize key metrics across marketing channels.

    • Interpret campaign performance data to develop actionable insights to refine and improve ongoing marketing efforts.

  • Marketing Automation and Email Campaigns

    • Manage Klaviyo marketing automation platform to nurture leads and drive conversions.

    • Plan and execute targeted email campaigns to support overall marketing objectives.

  • Website and Landing Page Management

    • Create and optimize landing pages to improve the customer journey and increase conversion rates.

    • Collaborate with the development and UX teams to ensure effective UX.

  • Customer Journey and Funnel Optimization

    • Analyze and optimize the customer journey from first interaction to conversion and retention.

    • Design and optimize D2C-focused marketing funnels to enhance user acquisition, retention, and lifetime value (LTV).

  • Content Marketing and A/B Testing

    • Support the content marketing team in creating performance-aligned content.

    • Conduct A/B testing to evaluate ad copy, visuals, and other campaign components, ensuring data-backed optimization.

  • Team Management

    • Collaborate on hiring and building the marketing team by months 3-6, shaping its structure and driving its growth to support overall marketing objectives. At the start, this role will not include management responsibilities.

You may be a good fit if you have (requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, data analytics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of managing successful performance-driven campaigns.

  • Proven experience with Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) marketing, including acquisition strategies, paid advertising, and customer funnel optimization.

  • 2+ years of people management.

  • Experience managing a quarterly. advertising budget of at least $100,000.

  • Well-rounded experience utilizing a variety of digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Meta (Facebook), Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, marketing automation systems, and landing page builders like Unbounce. We’re seeking candidates who have effectively applied multiple tools in their campaigns, showcasing versatility and adaptability.

  • Experience with data analysis—comfortable interpreting marketing metrics to drive decisions and optimizations.

  • Proven experience managing a marketing team and collaborating cross-functionally with content, design, and product development teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and scale multi-channel digital campaigns.

  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with performance metrics (CAC, ROAS, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor and guide team members.

What makes you stand out (nice-to-haves):

  • Experience with podcast advertising, advanced influencer campaigns, or affiliate marketing.

  • Background in EdTech or an understanding of the K-12 educational landscape.

  • Demonstrated growth or progression at past companies (e.g., promotions, increasing levels of responsibility).

Compensation & benefits:

  • The expected starting pay range is $35.00-$56.00/hour. Miaplaza’s compensation philosophy ensures equity and competitiveness while taking into account the regional differences in living and labor costs. Specific rates will be provided during the hiring process and are aligned with market data and internal equity.
