Veda is seeking a motivated Director, Business Development to join their rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in B2B healthcare sales with at least 5 years dedicated to selling into large payers. They will be responsible for generating and advancing high-value opportunities within large health plans, driving top-line growth, and influencing the evolving sales process and strategy. The Director will report to the VP, Sales & Partnerships and work closely with the sales leaders, advisory team, product, marketing, and customer teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Consistently generate and advance high value opportunities within large health plans aligned with Veda’s value drivers
- Engage key stakeholders, and evangelize Veda’s value proposition to health plans, ultimately leading to signed contracts
- Drive top-line growth, and amplify Veda in the marketplace as the business continues to scale nationally
- Influence the evolving sales process and strategy at Veda, while executing on a complex sales process
- Collaborate graciously and mentor our growing team to support the company’s commitment to coaching and collaboration
About You:
- You have significant experience in B2B healthcare sales with at least 5 years dedicated to selling into large payers
- You have a commitment to excellence in everything you do and use teamwork as an integral component of achieving a high level of success
- You are quick to adapt and motivated by the demands of a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- You have a track record of success leveraging a consultative sales approach and know how to identify and engage key influencers and stakeholders
- You are analytical, with a keen eye for spotting patterns, problems, and anomalies across large sets of data and able to artfully align technology solutions to key business needs
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in B2B sales and marketing, lead generation, prospecting, or business development
- Thorough understanding of the overall healthcare industry with specific expertise in the large health plan market
- Experience managing a complex sales cycles that represent a multi-year engagement
- Self discipline and commitment to applying your knowledge and experience to continuously improve a highly effective sales process
- Ability to think critically and apply data-driven influence to decision making
- Up to 20% U.S. based travel
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience preferred
