About the Role:
Do you thrive on shaping go-to-market strategies and driving business model innovation? Planet is seeking a Director of GTM and Business Model Strategy to play a critical role in accelerating our sustainable growth across diverse markets.
The Director of GTM and Business Model Strategy will help drive the objectives of the GTM Strategy team in assessing market opportunities, developing and implementing new business models, driving corporate strategy and measuring performance. This person will work across Planet’s three Business Groups (D&I, Civil Government and Commercial) to support industry aligned market capture strategies aimed at accelerating sustainable growth. The Director of GTM and Business Model Strategy will report to the Vice President, GTM Strategy and Investor Relations and work closely with other members of the GTM Strategy team. This will be a highly cross-functional role that requires building relationships across the Company.
This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States.
Impact You'll Own:
- Help drive GTM Strategy team initiative to standardize GTM planning and market assessments across all three business groups (D&I, Civil Government, and Commercial)
- Develop pricing & packaging frameworks, options, and models that align to customer value and support overall corporate growth objectives.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, assess competitor strategies, and inform strategic decisions regarding product positioning, pricing, and market entry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize partner programs and business models, driving increased revenue and expanding market reach.
- Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of go-to-market strategies and measure the value delivered to customers.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- A deep understanding of different B2B models and pricing strategies
- 10+ years experience in corporate strategy, go-to-market, pricing and packaging or a related field
- Proven ability to translate customer insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making

Compensation:
The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is listed below. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
New York City + California Salary Range
$172,200 - $215,200 USD
San Francisco Salary Range
$182,900 - $228,600 USD
US National Salary Range
$160,600 - $200,800 USD
