Job Summary

Smartcar is seeking a Director of Marketing with expertise in enterprise B2B revenue marketing. The ideal candidate will own Smartcar's marketing strategy, execute efficient marketing strategies, and optimize inbound channels. With 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing and 5+ years in leadership roles, the successful candidate will develop and scale inbound marketing strategies, refine outbound and event marketing efforts, and build a high-performing marketing team. The role is remote within the United States and reports to the CEO and Co-founder, Sahas.

Founded in 2015, Smartcar has raised $36M from Andreessen Horowitz, New Enterprise Associates, and Energize Capital. We are now the leading developer platform for mobility businesses across North America and Europe, serving amazing customers such as Uber, Turo, NRG, Uplight, Emovis, and AutoNation.

Innovative mobility companies use our API platform to manage EV charging, verify mileage, issue digital car keys, monitor fleets, and much more.

We are seeking a Director of Marketing who specializes in enterprise B2B revenue marketing and has a proven track record of executing efficient marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be adept at inbound marketing—our core growth driver—and will work to optimize and scale our inbound channels. Additionally, this leader will take ownership of refining our outbound and event marketing strategies, ensuring we invest in the most effective programs and channels for Smartcar’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Smartcar’s marketing strategy, execution, and operations as a key member of the executive team.

  • Come in and assess the most effective strategy for targeting the verticals of focus.

  • Develop and scale inbound marketing strategies, ensuring consistent lead generation and revenue impact.

  • Evaluate and refine outbound and event marketing efforts to drive meaningful pipeline growth and ROI.

  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering professional development and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure marketing efforts align with company objectives.

  • Identify and implement efficient marketing programs and channels that optimize customer acquisition and retention.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to track marketing performance, measure effectiveness, and inform decision-making.

  • Drive brand awareness and positioning in the enterprise space.

  • Help build Smartcar’s marketing team and cultivate its transparent, and welcoming culture.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing.

  • 5+ years in a leadership role, managing and optimizing marketing teams.

  • Expertise in inbound marketing strategies and execution.

  • Strong understanding of outbound marketing, events, and demand generation, with the ability to refine and improve effectiveness.

  • A strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset, focused on efficiency and measurable impact.

  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

  • A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

  • Experience working across sales-led (SLG) growth models.

Compensation and Benefits Package

  • Base salary determined by years of experience: $175,000 - $200,000.

  • Bonus of 20%.

  • Equity.

  • Remote work within the United States.

  • Health, Dental and Vision covered at 90% for all plans and 80% coverage for dependents, which amounts to approximately 11 thousand dollars a year.
