We are seeking a full stack developer for Vonage AI Studio, a low-code/no-code process orchestration and virtual assistant conversation designer tool. As a key member of the team, you will build infrastructure and business logic for Vonage's AI platforms, develop software solutions serving millions of users, and collaborate with a talented team to create innovative AI solutions. You will work on both front-end and back-end development in a rich microservices environment on the cloud, utilizing modern frameworks such as NodeJS, Python, TypeScript, Angular, and AWS/GCP. Your experience with No-SQL databases, web frameworks, REST API services, and Agile software development methodologies is essential. We offer flexible remote work options, $4,000/year travel stipends, and equity in a fast-growing company.

The team
Vonage AI Studio is a low-code / no-code process orchestration and virtual assistant conversation designer tool that empowers developers and non-developers alike to create and deploy customer engagement experiences that operate in natural language on any channel (Telephony, SMS, Whatsapp, HTTP and more).

 

What will you do?

  • Build the infrastructure and business logic for Vonage’s AI platforms. AI Studio is a conversational AI platform that automates conversations and engages our customers' clients.
  • Develop software solutions that serve millions of users and businesses by providing AI solutions such as NLU API and ASR. Building reusable and robust services and libraries for future use. Translating features and specifications into high-quality code and optimizing components for maximum performance.
  • Develop on both the front-end and the back-end of our platform, in a rich microservices environment on the cloud, and an advanced UI.

 

Musts:

  • BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience with a modern frontend framework
  • 4+ years of experience with NodeJS or Python server frameworks
  • Experience with No-SQL databases
  • Experience with web frameworks and REST API services
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with Angular
  • AWS/GCP cloud hosting environment
  • Virtual environments and dockerized environments
  • Experience in Agile software development methodology: Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies

 

Good to have:

  • Experience with NestJS framework
  • Experience with AWS cloud environment and services running on it
  • gRPC, websockets
