Plaid is seeking a Gaming Licensing Specialist to support their Go-To-Market online gaming segment. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in gaming licensing and compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. They will drive strategy and execution for gaming licensing and compliance, develop and implement the gaming compliance program, and serve as a liaison with State, Federal, and Tribal Gaming Regulatory Agencies. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a high EQ and low ego. Plaid offers a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), and a target base salary of $111,240 - $152,280 per year.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and execution for gaming licensing and compliance.
- Develop, implement, and manage the gaming compliance program, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions including obtaining new licenses, understanding license requirement variations across Plaid’s products, and keeping abreast of state licensing requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with State, Federal, and Tribal Gaming Regulatory Agencies, handling all licensing and related compliance matters.
- Research and document operational license requirements, tracking license applications, renewals, and approvals.
- Ensure the timely preparation and submission of licensing and approval requests to relevant regulatory bodies.
- Provide guidance and support to Key Employees completing individual gaming license applications.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively updating internal policies, and procedures to remain compliant in current and expanding markets.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years as a gaming licensing manager or specialist, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with casino/online gaming licensing requirements across a number of gaming verticals (e.g., iGaming, sports betting, casino, DFS, ADW, poker). Strong preference for candidates with experience in obtaining gaming licenses in various jurisdictions. Strong understanding of licensing and regulatory requirements in the gaming and betting industry.
- Experience working for a licensed gaming vendor, supplier, service provider or operator.
