What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Treasury to lead our central treasury function, covering both fiat and cryptocurrency activities. This newly created role will report directly to the Group CFO and play a pivotal role in optimising our financial resources, managing risks, and supporting our strategic objectives as we scale toward an IPO.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Treasury Management:

• Develop and execute comprehensive treasury strategies aligned with the company's financial objectives, ensuring both fiat and crypto assets are managed effectively.

• Develop and execute the strategy for 24/7 Automated Liquidity Optimisation. 

• Provide insights and recommendations to senior leaders on liquidity management, investment opportunities, and risk mitigation.

Cash Management:

• Oversee daily cash operations, including liquidity management and forecasting for both fiat and cryptocurrency holdings.

• Implement efficient cash management practices to maximise liquidity and minimise borrowing costs.

Capital Management:

• Manage the company's capital structure and optimisation strategies, supporting growth initiatives and M&A activities.

• Evaluate and execute financing strategies, including negotiations, covenant compliance, and refinancing activities.

Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and liquidity risk, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency market volatility.

• Develop and implement hedging strategies and risk mitigation techniques.

Investment Management:

• Optimise the investment portfolio returns while maintaining liquidity and risk tolerance for both fiat and crypto assets.

• Monitor investment performance and recommend adjustments to optimise returns.

Banking & Crypto Relationships:

• Manage relationships with banks and cryptocurrency exchanges to optimise terms and service levels.

• Oversee the KYC process for new banking and crypto exchange relationships.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Own policy creation, control, and Safeguard Sign Off. 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting obligations related to fiat and crypto treasury operations.

• Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and industry standards.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyse treasury-related financial reports for senior management e.g. daily NAV reporting. 

• Provide periodic reporting on treasury operations to executive leadership.

Team Leadership:

• Lead the A&L committee.

• Lead and mentor the treasury team, fostering talent development and succession planning.

• Build a high-performance culture within the team.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with Exchanges and Liquidity Providers, ensuring successful partnerships. 

• Communicate treasury strategies and performance to senior management and stakeholders.

• Prepare and facilitate investor presentations and due diligence sessions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Include:

• Cash Flow Forecast Accuracy: 100%

• Liquidity Ratio

• Return on Investment (ROI) on Treasury Investments

• Risk-adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC)

 

What We Need From You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; AMCT / MCT/  MBA or CFA designation preferred.

• Proven experience in treasury management, including both fiat and cryptocurrency assets.

• Strong understanding of financial markets, banking products, cryptocurrency regulations, and treasury best practices.

• Experience in a high-growth company with international exposure.

• Strong experience in structured finance and securitisation.

• Proficiency in treasury management systems, financial modeling, and automation tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embrace change.

• Experience handling blockchain assets within a finance or accounting capacity is beneficial.

• Strong interest and comprehensive understanding of the cryptocurrency sector, including current and potential regulations.

• Ability to design, implement, and report against key operational and governance OKRs.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute treasury strategies aligned with organisational goals.
