The team

We are excited to be rapidly scaling our Institutional and VIP Relationship Management team and are looking for an Institutional and VIP Relationship Manager to join Kraken’s mission based in the UK region! The Institutional and VIP Relationship Management team exists to build meaningful relationships with a portfolio of assigned (ultra) high net worth clients both retail and business ranging from market makers, (crypto) hedge funds to exchanges, brokers, (private) banks, and trading firms. We primarily do this by hiring the most talented individuals on the planet, who are passionate or curious about the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency and the technology which underpins it. And that's when you come in!

As our new Institutional and VIP Relationship Manager, your primary goal is to build meaningful relationships with a portfolio of assigned high net worth clients and to grow our business across the UK region with a focus on local region clients. You will also partner up with our sales operations team in supporting our clients with their queries. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who wants to develop their client retention and acquisition skills in one of the most exciting teams in the most disruptive industries in the world!

This role is remote for candidates within the United Kingdom

The opportunity

  • Build strong relationship with new and existing clients to ensure we continue driving growth as one of the best digital asset platform in the market

  • Generate leads and expand your portfolio of clients by leveraging your network, participate in networking events and beyond

  • Enhance Kraken’s reputation by taking initiative in owning the client’s request via multiple sources across different time-zone

  • Partner up with our sales operations team to support our clients with guidance and expertise in using our products and services

  • Be a Kraken advocate in promoting our full product suite and company’s values to new and existing our clients

Skills you should HODL

  • You have experience managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ideally in the financial industry where you have proven to be a pro in client retention

  • Experience handling high net worth clients and engaging with business partners at all levels of an organization

  • Exposure to crypto trading systems where you have learned advanced trading features such as margin trading, OTC, futures, etc.

  • Passion about the cryptocurrency world and most importantly a learning attitude about new crypto-industry trends

  • Working or at least personally involved with and part of the local crypto community

  • Believe wholeheartedly in the crypto, cypherpunk, libertarian values of Kraken described in our Tentaclemendments document

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands on experience with and understanding of Kraken products, primarily our institutional-grade offerings
