The Internal Experience Associate will play a key role in fostering connection and engagement within our global, remote-first organization. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing high-impact internal events and initiatives that bring our teams together, regardless of location. As a creative force behind OpenX’s internal experience strategy, the Internal Experience Associate will ensure employees have meaningful opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Marketing and working closely with the Field Marketing Associate, this role will be instrumental in driving the seamless execution of internal and external events. The Internal Experience Associate will collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, sales, operations, IT, and other teams to develop initiatives that reinforce OpenX’s dynamic, sustainability-focused culture. This position requires a strategic, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build proprietary internal events from scratch—across the U.S. and internationally—including kickoffs, offsites, team-building experiences, and more.

  • Handle all event logistics, including venue selection, room blocks, travel coordination, IT/AV setup, catering, branding, and more.

  • Work closely with leadership teams to ensure every event aligns with OpenX’s culture and goals.

  • Theme events and source on-brand swag that employees love and that reinforces our commitment to them and sustainability. 

  • Develop detailed event programming, including content development, speakers, schedules, and engagement strategies.

  • Create engaging event recaps that capture the energy and success of each experience.

  • Maintain a company-wide internal events calendar to keep teams informed and aligned.

  • Occasionally lead external events in partnership and with guidance from the Field Marketing Associate to ensure seamless coordination between internal and external event planning.

  • Act as a project management pro, keeping Asana dashboards updated and various teams aligned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A creative, detail-obsessed planner with 3-5 years of experience in event management, production, or operations.

  • Someone who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building community.

  • A logistics mastermind who can juggle multiple events and projects simultaneously.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before they arise.

  • Experienced in budgeting and working cross-functionally with multiple teams.

  • Comfortable working with tools like Google Sheets and Asana for planning and tracking.

  • A natural collaborator who loves working with people across different departments and locations.

$69,000 - $85,000 a year

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, New York Fair Chance Act, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation. 

OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in New York, New Jersey, California, and Colorado, the base salary range is $69,000- $85,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states.
