Job Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking an IT Automation Engineer to join their Business Enterprise Systems team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and deploy automations, SaaS platform integrations, templates, reports, and workflows across Wealthsimple's suite of SaaS products. They will work closely with teams across Identity and Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure Security, IT Operations, and Risk and Compliance to ensure interaction between different business applications. The ideal candidate has expertise in system integration technologies, strong programming skills, and experience with ERP, HRIS, CRM, or other enterprise software platforms. About the team:

    • The Business Enterprise Systems team is a dynamic and growing department where the successful candidate will have a significant impact on the organization. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying automations, SaaS platform integrations, templates, reports, and workflows across our suite of SaaS products, supporting key functions within Wealthsimple, including Finance Procurement, IT, and HR systems
    • The position reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Systems, and is part of the broader Security Engineering function, collaborating with teams across Identity and Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure Security, IT Operations, and Risk and Compliance

What you will do:

    • Responsible for managing system integrations, data flows, and custom development efforts to ensure interaction between different business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS)
    • Lead the development of custom solutions and enhancements within enterprise systems based on business needs
    • Develop custom applications, scripts, and automations to meet specific business needs that cannot be addressed by out-of-the-box solutions
    • Ensure data consistency and integrity across all systems by managing data flows, handling data transformations, and applying governance rules
    • Maintain and manage APIs and middleware solutions to connect systems, reduce manual work, and streamline business processes
    • Ensure that all integrations and custom developments adhere to the organization's security protocols
    • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving system integration issues, providing technical support, and maintaining system uptime
    • Use a ticketing system for tracking issues, troubleshooting, user support and internal communications
    • Work with a dynamic team where roles are fluid but goals are unified. Expect to learn skills beyond the role, and continuously improve your craft
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data consistency and integrity across systems

Who you are:

    • Expertise in system integration technologies (Workato, Zapier, Boomi)
    • Strong programming skills for developing solutions (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc) specifically with Slack and Google Cloud
    • Experience with ERP (NetSuite, Oracle), HRIS (Workday), CRM (Salesforce) or other enterprise software platforms
    • Familiarity with data architecture, data governance, and security best practices
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Adaptable to all situations and willing to assist with other team members
