Welocalize is seeking a Korean Metadata Specialist in Japan for a full-time position. The role involves verifying content accuracy, editing data, making decisions with limited information, reporting issues, testing tools, and working with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is proficient in Korean, detail-oriented, and has sharp problem-solving skills. They should be comfortable with ambiguity and have knowledge of local culture, movies, TV shows, music, literature, social media platforms, and nuance. This position requires flexibility, including work outside normal business hours and on weekends. With a set shift schedule, the candidate will work as part of an international team in a transparent and collaborative environment.
Welocalize is currently seeking a Korean Metadata Specialist for a full-time position in Japan.

Responsibilities:
• Verify content accuracy, ensuring it meets the provided standards
• Edit data and content when needed
• Make decisions on content often with limited information on hand
• Report any patterns of issues observed to help improve database and product performance
• Test tools to provide feedback for improving efficiency and accuracy
• Work and communicate with cross-functional teams
About you:
• Proficient in Korean
• Proven ability to maintain motivation and solid focus through repetitive tasks
• Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Sharp problem solving and analytical skills, along with ability to learn from history and prevent errors from recurring
• Comfortable with navigating ambiguity to make sound judgment call
• A wide-ranging and up-to-date knowledge of the local movies, TV shows, music, literature, social media platforms, cultural sensitivities and nuance
• Knowledge of advanced spreadsheet and XML a plus
• This position may require work outside of normal business hours, on weekends and holidays.
JOB INFORMATION:
· Location: Remote in Japan
· Full-time employment
· Start date: Immediately
· Duration: 12 months (potential for further contract extension)
· Work Hours and Shifts: 8 hours a day, a standard 40 hours. We have a set shift schedule will be assigned to: Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat, or Sun-Thu.
