Job Summary
Binance is seeking a KYB COE Specialist to join their team. The role involves developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of KYB regulations and best practices, particularly in the cryptocurrency space. They should also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented KYB COE Specialist to join our KYB Center of Excellence team. This pivotal role will bridge the gap between Operations and Compliance, ensuring our processes are efficient, compliant, and up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for KYB processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational efficiency.
- Liaise closely with the compliance team to interpret and implement regulatory changes into KYB processes and SOPs.
- Conduct regular reviews of KYB processes and SOPs to identify areas for improvement and compliance enhancement.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including operations, compliance, legal, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of compliance requirements into KYB workflows.
- Provide guidance on KYB compliance matters to operations team.
- Develop and coordinate training programs on KYB processes and compliance requirements for relevant staff.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact KYB processes and proactively propose necessary adjustments.
- Participate in regulatory audits and examinations related to KYB processes.
- Prepare and present regular reports on KYB process performance and compliance metrics to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a similar role within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
- In-depth knowledge of KYB regulations and best practices, particularly in the cryptocurrency space.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and their application to business onboarding processes.
- Experience in process improvement, project coordination and SOP development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management and stakeholder management.
