Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of Coursera’s learning analytics strategy ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities
Drive the use of data and analytics to support continuous improvement efforts in teaching and learning
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large and complex datasets related to student learning and educational outcomes
Develop and apply statistical models to predict student performance, identify learning patterns, and create personalized learning pathways
Utilize learning analytics to provide insights into student engagement, learning progress, and course effectiveness
Design and implement adaptive learning and assessment tools to support individualized learning experiences
Integrate psychometric practices into data analysis to ensure the reliability and validity of assessments and learning measurements
Conduct and oversee psychometric analysis of assessment tools to drive the design of effective educational interventions
Collaborate with faculty and instructional designers to translate analytics into actionable strategies that enhance curriculum design and instructional delivery
Provide consultation and training to staff on the application of learning analytics in their work
Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership, faculty, and external partners
Present insights and recommendations at institutional meetings, conferences, and workshops
Basic Qualifications
PhD or equivalent experience in Data Science, Educational Psychology, Learning Analytics, Psychometrics, Statistics, or related field
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data science or learning analytics, with a strong emphasis on online education
Proven experience with psychometrics or psychometric data, adaptive learning, and adaptive assessments
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and data integration from various educational technologies
Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and their application in educational contexts
Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills
Strong communication abilities, with the capability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for a diverse audience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of current trends and research in learning analytics, edtech, and online education

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between $151,800 to $170,000 . The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
