HubSpot is looking for a Legal Specialist to provide a key support role in HubSpot's Legal & Compliance department. In this role, you will work with both the Go-To-Market (GTM) group within the Legal & Compliance team and cross-functional business teams.

HubSpot's GTM Legal group provides legal support for HubSpot’s Marketing team and Partner/Channel ecosystems, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks in our go-to-market activities.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Provide first-line support to our Marketing, Partnerships, and Go-to-Market business teams. This includes helping with program initiatives and product launches, reviewing and maintaining marketing campaigns and updating partnership program materials

  • Draft, negotiate, revise, and manage a wide range of marketing, partnership and technology contracts from initial draft through execution and renewal

  • Help manage and optimize the contract lifecycle 

  • Develop and implement playbooks and guidelines to improve legal processes and help maintain business compliance and continuity

  • Assist with initiatives to protect and enforce all forms of intellectual property at HubSpot, with an emphasis on trademarks, copyrights, and domain names

  • Assist with law enforcement investigations and responses

  • Support M&A activity, including due diligence and integration

We are looking for people who: 

  • Have a law degree or equivalent qualification

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant experience within a Commercial or Corporate Legal role. In-house experience working in a high-growth technology company is a plus

  • Have experience with review of business contracts and feel comfortable running a negotiation process, with management support as needed

  • Have project management and superior organizational skills, and are able to handle a broad range of matters and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment

  • Are able to make and own decisions and explain the rationale for the decision to a curious and empowered business team

  • Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members and the business 

  • Effectively handle high-volume and prioritization of tasks
