Job Summary
RVO Health is seeking U.S. licensed Physicians (DO/MD) in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology, or Dermatology to join their freelance Medical Network. As a consultant, you will provide medical expertise to the editorial team through medical review of content pieces on various topics. You will work remotely and be compensated at an hourly rate of $100/hr, with flexible time commitments based on content needs. Your role will involve reviewing articles, mobile apps, videos, slideshows, and medical illustrations to ensure medical accuracy and appropriateness for consumer health audiences. With a passion for providing accurate medical information, you will contribute to the development of high-quality content on RVO Health's digital sites, including Healthline, Greatist, Medical News Today, and more. In this consulting role, you’ll provide guidance, feedback, and medical expertise to our editorial team primarily through medical review. We’re looking for medical professionals to help make our broad scope of consumer health content — articles, mobile apps, videos, slideshows, and medical illustrations — the gold standard on the Web.
Responsibilities
Provide valuable medical scope and context by advising our editorial and content development teams.
Review our content to ensure medical accuracy and appropriateness for our consumer health audiences.
Provide your medical point of view on a variety of topics.
What you need to know
The amount of work will depend on our content topic needs and your availability.
We’ll assign content for review based on your areas of expertise via a content management system; each content piece takes, on average, about 40 minutes to review.
We’ll compensate you at an hourly rate through automated invoicing.
Each Medical Network member’s headshot and byline are featured on the content they medical review and their byline links to a customized individual bio page.
About you
U.S. licensed Physician (DO/MD) current with industry standards in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Endocrinology, or Dermatology.
Passionate about providing accurate medical information to our consumer health audience.
Able to meet strict deadlines.
Comfortable with varying time commitments based on the availability of content.
