Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Operations Planner to support material planning for our growing business. You will determine target inventory levels and generate PO proposals that support sales and inventory goals while optimizing cost. As part of our team, you will drive process improvement by building out and improving processes and tools as the business scales up. Key responsibilities include creating buying recommendations, performing weekly inventory reconciliation, working with cross-functional teams to solve inventory issues, mitigating supply risk, and tracking expirations. You should have a Bachelor’s Degree, 3+ years of experience in production, supply, material, or inventory planning, proficiency in Excel, SQL, or Python, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle complex problems. ​​About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Operations Planner to help support material planning for our growing business. You will leverage your problem-solving abilities, motivation, and experience to determine target inventory levels and generate PO proposals that support sales and inventory goals while optimizing cost. We are looking for a self-starter that will drive process improvement by building out and improving processes and tools as the business scales up.

You Will:

  • Create buying recommendations for raw materials, packaging and/or collateral based on forward-looking usage projections

  • Perform a weekly inventory reconciliation to ensure the data reflects accurate inventory numbers

  • Work with cross functional partners in Supply Chain and Operations to solve inventory overages and shortages

  • Understand and articulate key drivers for changes in usage that result in under/over stock situations

  • Mitigate supply risk by carrying appropriate levels of stock

  • Track upcoming expirations and work with the site to quarantine and dispose of the product

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3+ years experience in at least 1 of the following: Production planning, Supply planning, Material planning, Inventory planning

  • Proficient in inventory management concepts with an understanding of the financial and operational implications of planning decisions

  • Excel proficiency including experience with data manipulations – Lookups, PivotTables, External Data Connections

  • Basic SQL and/or Python experience is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to think through complex problems and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities

  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized

  • Demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives to make effective decisions
