We are looking for a driven People Operations Specialist remote on the East Coast or Central U.S. who can help support our organization with operational tasks related to our people. This role will be on our People team, reporting to the Chief People Officer.
You are highly organized, results-oriented, and comfortable spanning many types of operational tasks. Making a difference to the people around you is what gets you out of bed in the morning and you are not afraid to get out of your comfort zone to do so.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead the handoff between Recruiting and People, including data transfer and document processing. Help host our monthly onboarding classes. Set up new hires for success in lightning speed and ensure departing employees are supported through their transition.
Administration: Own People administration and improvement for our entire organization.
Be the first line of support for People related inquiries for our entire organization.
Knowledge of HR Systems/Tools: Experience working with Greenhouse, Hibob, Sterling or similar systems.
Maintain HRIS records, employee rosters, and generate reports as required.
Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by conducting regular audits and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations.
Support benefits administration by assisting employees with inquiries, processing enrollments, changes, and cancellations.
Collaborate with the payroll department to review timecards and ensure accurate payroll processing.
Support employee engagement initiatives, including organizing events, volunteering opportunities, and cultural activities.
1-2 years of experience in Human Resources

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is ($69,000 - $87,000) per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
