A quick run-down of the job

The People Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role within the Operations team – dedicated to overseeing and enhancing the employee lifecycle and experience to support the growth of our organisation. As a People Operations Specialist, you will be mostly working on on pre- and onboarding processes, contracting, employee lifecycle management, and administrative tasks, with opportunities to contribute to various people and operations initiatives. Your role will have a strong collaboration with internal teams to maintain and improve the experience for both new hires and employees as part of our company’s goals.

What you’ll do

• Support and provide guidance for variety of HR-related requests and processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle in accordance with existing process documentation and HR policies
• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience
• Ensure accuracy/completeness of current and historical employee data (contracts, payroll, compensation/title changes) and own our HRIS
• Review, update and maintain HR services documentations and processes with a focus on continued improvement
• Develop, maintain, and update process documentation in the company handbook to enhance transparency and efficiency
• Working on people and culture initiatives such as employee engagement learning and development, performance reviews, and more
• Support other members of the team as required
  

What makes a good candidate

• Must be located in the EMEA region
• Relevant experience in (international) HR, people operations, global mobility or payroll in Germany
• Experience building and implementing employee onboarding/offboarding, engagement programs, and employer branding
• Proactivity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems (ideally Hibob)
• Understanding of German labor laws and employment regulations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
• A clear sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for tasks
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken) required in English and in German
• A high level of discretion and confidentiality to handle confidential data
• Willingness to quickly and successfully embrace and adapt change
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
• Remote working experience is a plus
• Experience with recruitment activities is a plus
• Understanding of European labor laws is a plus
• An understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency concepts is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is a plus
