A quick run-down of the job
The People Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role within the Operations team - dedicated to overseeing and enhancing the employee lifecycle and experience to support the growth of our organisation. As a People Operations Specialist, you will be mostly working on on pre- and onboarding processes, contracting, employee lifecycle management, and administrative tasks, with opportunities to contribute to various people and operations initiatives. Your role will have a strong collaboration with internal teams to maintain and improve the experience for both new hires and employees as part of our company’s goals.

What you’ll do
Support and provide guidance for variety of HR-related requests and processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle in accordance with existing process documentation and HR policies
Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience
Ensure accuracy/completeness of current and historical employee data (contracts, payroll, compensation/title changes) and own our HRIS
Review, update and maintain HR services documentations and processes with a focus on continued improvement
Develop, maintain, and update process documentation in the company handbook to enhance transparency and efficiency
Working on people and culture initiatives such as employee engagement learning and development, performance reviews, and more
Support other members of the team as required
What makes a good candidate
Must be located in the EMEA region
Relevant experience in (international) HR, people operations, global mobility or payroll in Germany
Experience building and implementing employee onboarding/offboarding, engagement programs, and employer branding
Proactivity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of HRIS systems (ideally Hibob)
Understanding of German labor laws and employment regulations
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
A clear sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for tasks
Strong communication skills (written and spoken) required in English and in German
A high level of discretion and confidentiality to handle confidential data
Willingness to quickly and successfully embrace and adapt change
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
Remote working experience is a plus
Experience with recruitment activities is a plus
Understanding of European labor laws is a plus
An understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency concepts is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is a plus
