The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled and dynamic People Ops Communications Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping how we communicate and engage with employees during a period of transition and growth. The ideal candidate will have a knack for creating clear, impactful messaging and a proven ability to align communication strategies with organizational goals. You’ll bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive awareness, alignment, and enthusiasm across the company.

About The Role

As the People Ops Communications Specialist, you’ll work closely with the People team to craft and deliver internal communications that resonate with our diverse workforce. This includes everything from designing communication plans for key initiatives to creating content that informs, inspires, and connects our employees. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligned with Postman’s culture and values. With a focus on clarity and impact, you’ll help foster a sense of belonging and transparency within the organization during this pivotal time.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute communication strategies for People Ops initiatives, including change management, policy updates, and employee engagement programs.
  • Craft clear, concise, and engaging messaging tailored to various internal audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all channels.
  • Design and manage communication timelines to deliver key updates in a timely and impactful manner.
  • Partner with leadership to draft announcements and presentations that inspire trust and confidence.
  • Measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and refine strategies based on feedback and data.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on best practices for internal communication within a fast-paced, distributed environment.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, people operations, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with an eye for clarity and tone.
  • A strategic mindset paired with the ability to execute quickly and effectively.
  • Experience managing communications in a dynamic, fast-growing organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels of leadership.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • An affinity for fostering engagement and connection in a distributed workforce.

This is a remote role based in the United States & the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $40/hr - $60/hr. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
