Job Summary
Airalo is seeking a People Success Partner to join their remote-first team. As a key member of the HR department, you will partner with leadership structures and teams to ensure high performance, engagement, and support. You will coach managers, manage team relations issues, design and implement people programs, and champion a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate has strong international business partnering experience, exceptional prioritization skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with our Tech teams to ensure they are high-performing, engaged, and supported
- Coach and advise managers, providing clear, steady guidance to help them navigate challenges with confidence and to support them to set up their teams for success
- Manage team member relations issues, including performance concerns, grievances disciplinary actions if necessary, ensuring all our team members are treated with empathy and fairness
- Be knowledgeable and considerate of the complexity of supporting a fully remote team, across almost 60 countries. Both by being knowledgable about employment law, and cultural nuances
- Support leaders in ensuring People's OKR’s are met, such as regular Performance Reviews, Compensation Reviews, talent development and engagement initiatives etc.
- Design and implement People programs that form part of our People OKRs such as job leveling frameworks, performance management enhancements, and engagement strategies
- Working closely with the People Operations team to support and share feedback on policies and processes
- Support with yearly Headcount Planning & Forecasts with the People Director, Talent, and Hiring Managers
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to leaders, offering insights that drive both business and People success
- Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture that fosters growth and collaboration
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels

- Resilience & adaptability: You thrive in fast-evolving environments and can confidently guide yourself and managers through change. You’re the kind of person who can shift with ease from coaching a manager through a tough conversation, to project work on job leveling structures.
- Strong international business partnering experience in startup/scale-up: You’ve worked with various stakeholders across multiple countries, advising on both day-to-day and strategic People matters
- Exceptional prioritization skills: You know how to juggle projects and requests, keeping stakeholders informed while staying focused on what matters most.
- Customer-centric approach: You’re passionate about delivering a great People experience and handle interactions with attention to detail, sound judgement and discretion in confidential or sensitive situations.
- Passion for building: You enjoy creating and shaping People programs whether it’s refining performance management, enhancing engagement strategies, or supporting leadership development.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management: You’re a strong communicator who can influence and build relationships at all levels. You establish trust early on and guide with a steady, consistent approach, staying calm even when the pace picks up. You’re clear, direct, and empathetic, not shying away from tough conversations.
- Self-starter attitude: You have a bias for action rather than waiting, you are organized, and able to drive initiatives and tasks independently
- Analytical & problem-solving skills: You know how to gather the right insights and use them. Beyond just looking at the surface, you dig into root causes, identify patterns, and connect the dots to drive informed decisions.
- Strategic mindset: You understand both the big picture and the operational details, balancing between creating solutions with empathy that also align with business goals.

Good to have:
- Experience with remote-first work environments.
- Experience working in a scaling startup or global organization in tech.
- Partnering with Engineering and Product teams
- Knowledge of different labor laws (Germany, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Poland)
- Experience with the tools we use or ones similar to them (Slack, Notion, HiBob, Deel, Kamsa, Google Workspace, Docusign)
