The team

The paid growth team owns the strategy and execution of performance marketing campaigns globally in support of Kraken’s user acquisition objectives.

Reporting to the Director, Paid Marketing, we are seeking a seasoned performance marketer with deep expertise in paid search to lead channel strategy, planning and activation of all paid search campaigns with a focus on bringing new transacting users into the Kraken suite of products, including: Kraken Consumer, Kraken Pro & Kraken Institutional.

In this role, you will own and optimize Kraken’s paid search strategy across platforms including Google, Bing, ASA and UAC, ensuring campaigns are data-driven, aligned with growth objectives, and deliver strong ROI.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the paid search landscape with experience driving user acquisition across both web and app, with a passion for data and analytics, and experience launching and scaling global performance campaigns.


The opportunity

  • Lead paid search strategy, development, and execution to scale Kraken’s growth globally
  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns to achieve CAC goals across each of our priority geos and customer segments
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign effectiveness, providing detailed analysis and strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage a multi-million dollar performance marketing budget
  • Drive continuous campaign improvement through rigorous KPI analysis, testing and optimization to scale user acquisition within paid search.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, data analytics, product, product marketing, to align on campaign goals and strategies.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills you should HODL

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, with a focus on paid search campaigns
  • Experience managing and optimizing paid search campaigns that meet or exceed KPI targets, including CAC, CPSU, and CPI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Test and learn mindset with a passion for experimentation and proven track record of executing A/B tests.
  • Proficiency with advertising platforms including Google Ads, Bing Ads and Apple Search Ads.
  • Proficiency with mobile measurement partners (MMPs) such as Appsflyer or Branch.
  • Familiarity with analytics and data visualization platforms such as Google Analytics and Tableau.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a self-starter; able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in consumer tech products with a focus on transactional goals and demonstrated ability to optimize campaigns beyond the initial install or sign up.
