As our first Procurement hire at DevRev, you will play a key role in shaping our vendor relationships and partnerships and driving cost, terms, renewal and compliance discipline globally. This spans 100s of our IT/SaaS stack and a wide variety of other product, services, real estate, and other vendor relationships. You’ll be expected to have a strong sense of fair/attractive pricing, compliance and contract terms, negotiating on DevRev’s behalf. This will have a significant impact on DevRev’s bottom line.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement strategies to optimize spending and supplier relationships.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle for software, product and services, ensuring alignment with company needs and budget constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in procurement.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and legal departments to ensure compliance with policies and regulations during the procurement process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors and suppliers, and conduct/facilitate technical evaluations - managing performance and conducting regular reviews to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Implement and manage procurement systems, tools and policies to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making.
  • Prepare and manage the procurement budget, providing regular reports and forecasts to senior management - working closely with Finance.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and shifts in the IT/vendor market to adapt procurement strategies accordingly.

Required Skills

  • Preferably 7-10 years of experience in a Procurement role for a leading global software company
  • Familiarity across a variety of vendors, especially US service providers and leading SaaS vendors
  • Drive Vendor screening / evaluations and work cross functionally to ensure they meet our needs, including technical and compliance requirements
  • Drive Vendor negotiations with a strong understanding of pricing/pricing models and creating discount leverage
  • Orchestrate Vendor approval workflows and procurement policies
  • Coordinate technical evaluations, keeping in mind a next gen, modern IT stack
  • Working with legal for contracting - NDAs, MSAs, key terms
  • Provide read outs for budgeting and reporting of total vendor spend
  • Orchestrate Vendor onboarding and tracking licenses/usage working cross functionally
  • Drive Vendor renewal management
  • An important success factor will be how much they can help control spend, understand technical requirements and help us meet compliance standards
