Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of Nextech’s data infrastructure and enterprise data platform. This role will focus on building and optimizing scalable, cloud-based data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience in data architecture, data lakes, and enterprise data platforms and can work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and compliant data solutions. This role requires strong technical understanding and the ability to align data infrastructure capabilities with business needs.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions: In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:
Data Platform Strategy & Execution
Collaborate with VP of Product and Engineering to define and execute the product strategy for Nextech’s data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
Work closely with engineering, data architects, and infrastructure teams to develop and enhance data pipelines, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
Prioritize data integration, accessibility, and performance enhancements to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
Partner with data engineering teams to ensure best practices in data modeling, data ingestion, and ETL/ELT workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders across reporting, analytics, and AI teams to align infrastructure investments with business priorities.
Evaluate and recommend data technologies, governance tools, and architectural improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, translating data infrastructure needs into product requirements.
Communicate roadmap updates, technical priorities, and trade-offs to executive leadership and engineering teams.
Develop clear documentation and technical specifications for data infrastructure capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of product management experience ideally focused on data platforms, infrastructure, or cloud-based data solutions.
Experience working with large-scale data systems, data lake architectures, and distributed data processing.
Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and scalable data storage solutions.
Ability to engage with engineering teams and data architects to make informed technical decisions.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to define and track key infrastructure performance metrics.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms, data governance, and data security best practices.
Familiarity with modern data lake and warehouse architecture.
Knowledge of data observability and performance monitoring tools.
