Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in healthcare, financial, and operational reporting to lead the development and evolution of Nextech’s reporting solutions. This role requires a strong background in healthcare administration, financial reporting, and operational analytics, ensuring our products meet the critical needs of practice administrators, financial executives, and operational leaders in the healthcare practices we serve.

As a key member of the Data & Analytics team, you will work closely with engineering, UX, and stakeholders across the organization to define and execute a product roadmap that enhances reporting capabilities and improves financial decision-making for healthcare providers.

This role is ideal for a data-driven, strategic thinker who understands how financial and operational reporting impacts revenue cycle management, productivity, and compliance in healthcare.

Essential Functions

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Collaborate with VP of Product to help define and execute a reporting product strategy aligned with the needs of healthcare administrators, financial teams, and practice managers.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize reporting features that drive financial and operational efficiency.

  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements, payer trends, and financial analytics best practices in healthcare.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Engage directly with practice administrators, revenue cycle leaders, and operational teams to understand key reporting pain points.

  • Identify emerging needs in financial reporting, revenue cycle analytics, and operational dashboards to inform product decisions.

  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., MIPS, value-based care, reimbursement models), and competitive products.

Product Development & Execution

  • Partner with engineering and analytics teams to develop financial and operational reporting tools that enhance decision-making.

  • Define detailed epics, user stories, and reporting specifications, ensuring clarity for the development team.

  • Drive adoption of intuitive, actionable, and customizable reporting dashboards that meet the needs of different user personas.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI to ensure a seamless and user-friendly reporting experience.

Go-to-Market & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Work with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to develop messaging, positioning, and training around reporting enhancements.

  • Partner with implementation and support teams to ensure proper enablement and training for clients on financial and operational reporting.

  • Serve as the internal expert on healthcare financial analytics for cross-functional teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a strong focus on financial and operational reporting in healthcare IT, EHRs, or revenue cycle products.

  • Deep understanding of healthcare financial workflows, including revenue cycle management, billing, claims, reimbursement, and payer reporting.

  • Strong familiarity with healthcare reporting needs such as KPIs for practice performance, payer mix analysis, revenue leakage, collections, and compliance metrics.

  • Experience working with healthcare analytics tools, business intelligence platforms, or reporting frameworks.

  • Ability to engage directly with healthcare finance and operations professionals to translate needs into actionable product requirements.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, reporting trends, and customer usage metrics.

  • Experience with Agile development processes, backlog management, and roadmap planning.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., HFMA, CHFP, PMP) a plus.
