Project Coordinator

Overview of Position:



The Project Coordinator ensures the effective and timely implementation of medium project complexity and assists Project Managers with more complex projects. In addition, for Product Sales Orders, this role provides end-to-end functions needed for delivery of equipment.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist Project Managers with administrative tasks associated with projects.
  • Coordinate and Implement projects activities.
  • Liaise with the Global Supply Chain team for the procurement and logistics of equipment and services.
  • Perform basic logistics and procurement activities
  • Manage relationship with the customer and define expectations.
  • Project handover to NOC team to enable ongoing support for customer services.
  • Complete all project closure activities, including customer sign-off and billing initiation.
  • Develop and manage project documentation (general and project/customer specific)
  • Coordinate with Project, System, Sales and Field Engineering, Global Supply Chain and NOC team as required to implement projects.
  • Identify changes in project scope and escalate to project managers.
  • Assist with arrangement for Licensing, appropriate inductions and clearances where required.
  • Ensure with finance that billing of projects and product sales is completed.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Champion the Speedcast values underpinning behaviors in all interactions.

Requirements:


  • Two years hands on experience, managing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies
  • Excellent Time management skills
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Solid PC skills including usage of the full MS Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Industry Certification:  PRINCE2, PMI PMP or equivalent.
  • Understanding of digital satellite network architectures, mobility services, VSAT platforms.
  • Desirable to have a certification in ITIL.
  • Team player and excellent communicator and collaborator
