Broadvoice is seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to ensure high-quality software delivery. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies. The engineer will implement automated tests for regression, functional, performance, and API testing, integrate them into continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and troubleshoot failures in collaboration with developers. This position requires 2-4 years of experience in automation testing, proficiency in automation tools and frameworks, strong programming skills, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. LOCATION: Remote, in Portugal

DEPARTMENT: Software Engineering

REPORTS TO: QA Director

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires a skilled QA Automation Engineer specializing in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies. Implements automated tests for regression, functional, performance, and API testing while integrating them into continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Executes and monitors automated test runs, analyzes results, and troubleshoots failures in collaboration with developers. Actively contributes to improving automation frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.

 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Implement automated tests for regression, functional, performance, and API testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Execute and monitor automated test runs and analyze test results.
  • Troubleshoot automation test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the improvement of automation frameworks, tools, and processes.

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 2-4 years of experience in automation testing.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, K6).
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Codefresh).
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Exposure to mobile testing on iOS and Android platforms is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
