Welo Data - AI Services is seeking meticulous QA Linguists for a freelance data annotation project. As a QA Linguist, you will perform linguistic QA for emerging AI technologies, ensuring data accuracy and quality. You will manage and mentor a team of QA Analysts, collaborate with team members on-site, and ensure secure handling of data. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity with flexible hours (20-40 hours/week) and the potential for contract extension based on performance and project needs. With full proficiency in Syrian Arabic and Arabizi, you will work on data annotation and quality assurance tasks, following instructions and communicating with the team in English. You must have 3+ years of experience as a linguist or in a related field, strong attention to detail, and ability to dedicate a minimum of 15-20 hours/week to the project.

MAIN DUTIES

- Ensure secure handling of data and uphold strict confidentiality standards

Qualifications

Full proficiency in Syrian Arabic
Familiarity with Arabizi (informal and conversational language used in casual contexts like social media & texting)
Advanced competency in English to follow instructions and communicate with our team
3+ years of experience as a linguist or in a related field, such as language research, translation, localization, or content creation, with a strong focus on language accuracy.
Strong background in quality assurance, data annotation, team management, and data handling.
Ability to dedicate a minimum of 15-20 hours per week to the project
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Capability to perform sufficient research within the allocated time, working within short throughputs
Reliable computer system and internet connection
Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to protect client confidentiality
