The Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics Center is seeking a skilled engineer to manage energy storage sites. The ideal candidate will have experience with bi-directional inverters, HVAC systems, and high current DC systems. Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION: 
The Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics Center (RMDC) is the first point of contact for issue resolution of the customer’s energy storage sites.   The RMDC ensures the availability of the assets by managing incidents to complete issue resolution in a timely manner. This includes responsive reactive maintenance as well as planned preventive infrastructure maintenance.
As the Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics Center , you will:
•Be the remote owner of large-scale energy storage sites and operate as first and primary point of contact for all customer needs
•Working from our Bangalore office location on a 24/7 rotational shift.
•Respond to customer calls or alarms sent by the storage sites’ alarm system and identify the required actions or delegate/consult with technical experts within the Fluence organization
•Act as owner of all timely reactive and preventive maintenance activities being coordinated with the customer and regions 
•Provide remote diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on technical support
•Own Safety culture and ensure safety is a priority during maintenance
•Maintain accurate records of all site activity and create professional and high-quality service reports in our service platform
•Actively identify and own process improvements to our growing service organization to reduce costs, increase response time, improve reliability, and improve quality of our services
•Actively feedback any improvement areas to outside of fluence service organization e.g. installation or engineering teams
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
•Undergraduate degree preferred (BSEE, BSME, BSCE) or Licensed Electrician
•Experience in bi-directional inverters, HVAC and 1000V/high current DC systems.  
•At least 2 years of related experience in electric utility or independent power producer experience within generation / operations / technical teams (Energy Storage, Coal, Gas, Solar, Hydro, Wind).
•Proven track record of remote troubleshooting.
•Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and stay focused/execute on goals.
•Must be willing to work in an environment that requires frequent phone-based customer interaction and Ability to present oneself well over the phone.
•Excellent interpersonal skills with both external customers and internal employees.
•Excellent MS Office; SCADA Experience & MODBUS Experience would be major plus.
•At least 4 years of related experience in Linux operating system experience for system administration, preferably using Red Hat/Fedora, Ubuntu, or Debian is a major plus (Certified RHCSA).
•At least 1 year of related experience in Networking (Certified CCNA)
•Requires ability to physically bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, & lift up to 40lbs.
