Job Summary

Welocalize is seeking a Localization QA Tester / Proofreader with native-level fluency in Russian and strong technical skills. The role involves testing web-based systems and applications, executing test cases, identifying localization issues, and reporting them through an internal bug-tracking system. This is a fully remote, part-time position with a fixed-term contract for one year (with the possibility of extension). The schedule is 20 hours per week, with shifts of 4 hours per day (to be determined). Key responsibilities include testing web-based systems and applications on Mac OS X and iOS, executing test cases and scripts to ensure localization accuracy, identifying, reporting, and tracking localization bugs using an internal bug-tracking system, verifying fixes and ensuring linguistic and functional quality. The ideal candidate should have native-level fluency in Russian (grammar, vocabulary, composition, punctuation), fluency in English (written and spoken), experience in translation, localization, or linguistic QA, strong technical skills, and ability to troubleshoot issues. Job Summary

Welocalize is offering an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy a mix of linguistic and technical work. We are seeking a Localization QA Tester / Proofreader with native-level fluency in Russian and strong technical skills.
In this role, you will test a variety of applications and tools, execute test cases, identify localization issues, and report them through our internal bug-tracking system. You will also verify fixes once implemented.

Key Responsibilities
·       Test web-based systems and applications on Mac OS X and iOS
·       Execute test cases and scripts to ensure localization accuracy
·       Identify, report, and track localization bugs using an internal bug tracking system
·       Verify fixes and ensure linguistic and functional quality
·       Prioritize linguistic issues, distinguishing between critical and non-critical errors
·       Clearly document and communicate issue reproduction steps
·       Collaborate with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
 
Requirements
·       Native-level fluency in Russian (grammar, vocabulary, composition, punctuation)
·       Fluency in English (written and spoken)
·       Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic QA
·       Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
·       Familiarity with bug-tracking systems and test case execution
·       Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
·       Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
·       Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic setting
