A Sales Development Specialist II at Rackspace Technology will make outbound sales contacts and pursue leads to develop a portfolio of buying customers. They will identify and qualify prospective customers, record sales prospecting activity, and close sales. The role requires working knowledge and experience in the job discipline, building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers, and performing a range of assignments related to the job. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, business/sales development skills, and leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Other Incidental tasks related to the job, as necessary.
- Utilizes provided information to contact potential customers regarding Rackspace products.
- Conduct needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the Rackspace solution will speak to those needs. Researches market segments to identify potential customers and makes first contact.
- Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the Rackspace solutions and identify appropriate buyers within the target market.
- Prepare and analyze leads pipeline reports and dashboards.

- Basic understanding of the processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts in own job discipline
