This includes planning and coordinating marketing events, working with vendors, and arranging venues. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in CRM software, SalesForce.com, and technical sales/support experience. Job Description
The Sales Operations Manager (SOM) is a valuable resource for Regional Partners and Account Executives. The SOM supports sales and marketing efforts by requesting quotes from appropriate vendors and distributors, generating quotes for customers, managing Salesforce.com opportunities, and corresponding with customers in an effort to maintain and grow the region.
In this role, the SOM is required to interact with manufacturing partners, internal business partners, and customers in a fast-paced support atmosphere. It is the duty of the SOM to support new business as well as renewal business in a quota bearing environment. The SOM is the main point of contact for internal team customer inquiries.
The SOM must keep their finger on the pulse of all opportunities that they are responsible for in their region. Additionally, the SOM is also responsible for planning and coordinating marketing events in their region. This includes working with vendors to help sponsor different events, sending out the event invites, and arranging a venue to host the event.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Use Salesforce.com to generate quotes, track open opportunities and renewal opportunities.
Manage team members’ day to day responsibilities and align to overall team strategy and performance goals.
Support and encourage team member’s individual development and growth in their roles.
Partner with HR on coaching team members through any performance issues.
Strategize with other leaders on new projects for SOS and internal teams to boost company efficiency and productivity.
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion and move to resolution.
Manage team budget and expenses.
Ensure Region SFDC Monthly Forecasts are as accurate as possible
Develop and retain product and industry knowledge, vendor resources, and GuidePoint Security service offerings.
Develop and maintain relationships with GuidePoint key vendors and customers.
Leverage vendor resources and relationships to bring opportunities and value to customers.
Serve as a liaison between GuidePoint outside Sales Executives, Purchasing and Accounting Departments to process and track orders.
Other related duties to support the region as required and assigned.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred.
Prior experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software required. Experience with SalesForce.com preferred.
Proven success as a GuidePoint Security Sales Operations Lead.
3+ years of experience leading a team preferred.
Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Navigation.
Self-motivated with excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
Technical sales/support and outbound calling experience preferred.
Ability to work well with a team.
An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must.
Solid math skills with the ability to calculate margins/discounts, and percentages required.
Must be open to receiving constructive feedback and applying it to improve their results.
Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make decisions that benefit GuidePoint Security.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work flexible work schedule required.
Travel Requirements:
Any travel/on site requirements as needed
Sedentary work
Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
