This role supports Coursera Business teams through Salesforce Solution Architecture, business analyst skills, and administration. The position involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, creating data-driven solutions, and customizing the Salesforce Platform. Responsibilities include solution design and architecture, Salesforce administration, training & support, implementation & optimization, and communication and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Admin, Business Analyst, or similar role. They should also have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with data analysis and reporting within Salesforce.

Job Overview:

In this position, you will support the various Coursera Business teams through a combination of Salesforce Solution Architecture, business analyst skills and administration skills. You will elicit, document, and analyze requirements around business challenges and produce data-driven solutions with your knowledge of both the business needs and the capabilities of the technology. You will also customize the Salesforce Platform by building, configuring and automating solutions to deliver business value. You will act as a bridge between the technical Salesforce team and the business users, ensuring that Salesforce is effectively utilized to meet the strategic objectives of the team. This role will support business teams focused on partnership development and new content acquisition and launch processes. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design and Architecture:

    • Gather and analyze business requirements from the Business teams.

    • Translate complex business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions

    • Create comprehensive system designs, data models, and integration patterns

    • Develop scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives

    • Design innovative architectures that maximize Salesforce platform capabilities

    • Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and Salesforce architectural standards

  • Salesforce Administration:

    • Manage and maintain Salesforce configurations, customizations, and data integrations.

    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within Salesforce.

    • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business needs.

  • Training & Support:

    • Provide ongoing training and support to the Business teams on Salesforce best practices and new features.

    • Develop training materials, user guides, and FAQs to enhance user adoption.

    • Serve as the first point of contact for Salesforce-related inquiries and troubleshooting.

  • Implementation & Optimization: 

    • Lead and participate in Salesforce implementation projects, including new feature rollouts, system upgrades, and integrations with other platforms.

    • Work closely with IT and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of Salesforce solutions.

    • Continuously monitor and optimize Salesforce performance to align with business goals.

  • Communication and Stakeholder Management:

    • Demonstrate excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills

    • Effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences through workshops and presentations

    • Lead design sessions and workshops with stakeholders

    • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams

    • Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders

    • Ensure successful solution delivery through clear and consistent communication

    • Present architectural designs and recommendations to senior leadership

    • Facilitate decision-making processes among various project stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s / Masters degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Admin, Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in the education technology sector.

  • 2+ years of Solution Architect experience

  • Salesforce Application Architect certification

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud & Service Cloud

  • Proven experience in gathering business requirements, process mapping, and translating them into Salesforce solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce-related issues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting within Salesforce. Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify key trends and patterns, and deliver actionable insights within a business context.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the education technology industry or working with EdTech.

  • Familiarity with other CRM systems, marketing automation tools like Hubspot, and Workato integration platforms.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile project environments.

  • Proficiency in Jira (or other project management software tools related to agile frameworks)
