Job Summary

At Weights & Biases, we build AI developer tools for organizations focused on building deep learning models and generative AI applications. Our Sr. Account Director role is a quota-carrying sales position responsible for meeting revenue goals through generating new opportunities and increasing awareness of our software in the marketplace. The ideal candidate has experience across the full spectrum of software sales, including prospecting, value proposition development, and closing deals. At Weights & Biases, our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code, there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. Starting with our first experiment tracking product, we have since expanded our solution into a comprehensive AI developer platform for organizations focused on building their own deep learning models and generative AI applications.

Weights & Biases is a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees. We proudly serve over 1,000 customers and more than 30 foundation model builders including customers such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota.

The Sr. Account Director role reports to the Country Manager of Korea. It is a quota-carrying, enterprise software sales position responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue goals through generating and closing new opportunities while increasing awareness of Weights & Biases in the marketplace. We are looking for motivated, focused, and coachable sales professionals with experience across the full spectrum of the software sales cycle – prospecting, defining and articulating value propositions, pilot process management, business case development, negotiation, and closing.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business opportunities for selling Weights & Biases software and services engagements within assigned territory

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy and a plan against assigned territory and/or targeted list of customers

  • Develop a deep understanding of, and effectively articulate, the W&B offering and value proposition in the market

  • Constantly focused on pipeline generation within the territory to ensure long term success

  • Develop new partner sales channels with some of the key Korean SI companies within the Korean conglomerate groups

  • Interact with and leverage the Channel and Alliance partner community to find new opportunities and drive existing deals to close

  • Manage opportunities through the sales cycle from initial inquiry to forecasted pipeline to deal design and close

  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue objectives for your territory

  • Provide continuous updates on all active accounts and report on sales, activities, status and progress on a regular basis

  • Plan and execute key marketing and PR activities in cooperation with the regional marketing team

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and reference-ability

  • Travel for client visits and presentations

Requirements:

  • Experience selling to engineers/researchers in AI market is required

  • Native level fluency in Korean is required

  • Business level fluency in English or Japanese is required

  • 4+ years of progressive data, analytics and/or machine learning sales experience

  • Track record of success in closing business with key Korean enterprise customers

  • Experience in building sales partnership relationship with major local IT companies

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, financial and organizational capabilities. Able to thrive in an evolving, entrepreneurial structure and environment

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including public speech at events and conferences

  • Ability to work at both a tactical and strategic level

  • Must possess a can-do, self-starter mentality in a highly collaborative atmosphere
