Job Summary

Airtm is seeking a Senior Android Developer to enhance their Android app with new features while maintaining security, scalability, and user experience. The ideal candidate has experience creating mobile applications from inception to store, deep knowledge of Android's Lifecycle-aware components and best practices, and strong skills in Kotlin and MVVM architecture. This is a fully remote role, reporting to the Tech Lead, and applicants must be based in South or Central America. Airtm aims to empower digital entrepreneurs with a globally accessible dollar account, allowing users to hold wealth in stable currencies and participate in the global economy. With over 500 different ways to buy and sell digital dollars, Airtm is transforming into a platform for Digital Entrepreneurs (DE). The company has presence in more than 190 countries and is incorporated in the United States, registered with FinCEN as an MSB.

Airtm is the world’s most connected digital dollar account with over 500 different ways to buy and sell digital dollars.  Airtm’s globally accessible dollar account allows anyone to hold their wealth in a stable currency, participate in the global economy and cash out remittances at fair exchange rates.  Our users include freelancers and gig workers who connect Airtm to access stable currencies (USDC) and move money across borders. We are now transforming into a platform for Digital Entrepreneurs (DE).

About the Role:
Airtm is seeking a Sr Android Developer to continue enhancing our Android app by adding amazing new features while maintaining its security, scalability, and user-friendly experience.
Experience and skills required:
- Have created at least one mobile application from inception to store.
- Deep knowledge on Android’s Lifecycle-aware components and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin (idiomatic usage)- Deep understanding of MVVM architecture.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose (state management, theming, animations, navigation).
- Understanding of Kotlin Coroutines (understanding structured concurrency and coroutine cancellation).
- Strong skills in Unit testing- Advanced / Fluent in English.
