About the Role

As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our backend systems and payment processing solutions. This role is primarily focused on backend and API testing, requiring strong SQL and C# programming skills. You will work with cutting-edge finance tools, collaborate with a highly skilled payments team, and contribute to CI/CD-driven test automation. The ideal candidate is a technical QA expert with deep experience in backend testing, API validation, and data integrity verification, who can also bring fresh ideas to improve QA processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain automated tests for backend and API services, ensuring stability and high-quality releases.
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Utilize C# for test automation, integrating with existing frameworks and backend services.
  • Conduct API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and US-based team members to ensure robust test coverage.
  • Drive CI/CD automation, ensuring seamless integration of tests within the development pipeline.
  • Support and contribute to the transition from Selenium-based UI testing to more integration tests.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and optimize automated test coverage.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the evolution of QA best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on backend and API testing.
  • Strong SQL proficiency, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with C# programming, particularly for automation testing.
  • Proven experience with API testing tools (e.g., Rest Assured, Postman, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of testing strategies and the testing pyramid, ensuring efficient test automation at all levels.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated tests for continuous deployment.
  • Exposure to financial domain and payment processing systems.
