Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join their team in Egypt. The role involves designing, automating, and deploying services on AWS, utilizing DevOps techniques and infrastructure-as-code tools. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in cloud and software engineering, solid understanding of AWS infrastructure, and expertise in scripting languages like Python and Bash. They will work with engineering teams on various projects, including large-scale migrations, and collaborate with customers to educate them on Continuous Integration/Deployment. Job Description
What you'll be doing
- Working with engineering teams on a wide variety of projects such as large scale migrations.
- Writing infrastructure as code as (CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Utilizing CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, containerization, etc. to develop the most successful methods for project completion.
- Linux/Windows administration, automated deployments, scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
Required Qualifications
- Recommended 5years experience in Cloud and Software Engineering.
- Solid understanding of the overall AWS Cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Service architecture and containerization, such as kubernetes.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python and/or Bash.
- You are comfortable interacting with customers and have the ability to communicate and educate Continuous Integration/Deployment: Git, Jenkins, etc.
Nice to have
- Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and networking security.
- Knowledgeable of configuration management frameworks such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
- Working with kubernetes package manager (helm, kustomize).
- Monitoring and logging systems for containerized applications (Prometheus, Grafana, fluentbit)
- AWS Certifications.
- Kubernetes Certifications.
