Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Create timely, on-brand copy in response to emerging trends, news events, and time-sensitive opportunities
- Write articles and alerts on breaking news or emerging developments
- Monitor relevant news and trends to identify opportunities for brand engagement
- Meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality content
- Craft press releases, statements, and other time-sensitive communications
- Maintain brand voice and messaging guidelines across all rapid response materials
- Verify facts and ensure absolute accuracy in all time-sensitive materials
- Lead comprehensive bio development, updating, and process management for the organization
- Create new professional bios based on provided information and materials
- Maintain and update existing bios to reflect current information
- Establish and manage efficient systems for bio collection, updates, and approvals
- Ensure consistency in bio formatting and messaging across platforms
- Develop compelling case studies, one-pagers, and success stories
- Craft articles, email communications, and other marketing content
- Repurpose and adapt existing content for different platforms and audiences
- Edit and proofread all content to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with the marketing, PR, and communications teams to align messaging across channels
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative approaches to content
- Create any additional marketing materials as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in an agency, newsroom, or fast-paced marketing environment
- Demonstrated experience with rapid response content creation
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms
- Strong news judgment and ability to quickly identify relevant angles
- Excellent research skills and ability to quickly synthesize information
- Superior attention to detail and fact-checking abilities, particularly when working under pressure
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to shift quickly between different projects and priorities
- Portfolio demonstrating versatility in writing styles and formats
- Experience in B2B marketing and/or professional services environments
- Experience in a PR agency or newsroom setting
- Experience with comprehensive bio development, including writing, updating, and managing bio processes across an organization
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization
