We're looking to add Senior Data Scientist, Mobile App User Acquisition to our data science team! This team works on solving complex problems for StackAdapt's mobile in-app advertising platform. You'll be working directly with our data scientists, data engineers, Product & Engineering team on building pipelines and ad optimization models. What you'll be doing:

    • Lead the creation and optimization of advanced machine learning algorithms—from developing new methods to refining existing techniques—to enhance mobile advertising effectiveness, user acquisition strategies, and ROI using deep ML expertise.
    • Own the end-to-end development of mobile-focused production-grade ML models: write efficient, scalable code and collaborate with Data Engineers to deploy and integrate algorithms into live systems, ensuring seamless interaction with MMPs, ad networks, and attribution platforms.
    • Drive the prototyping and rigorous testing of innovative algorithms and mobile acquisition data pipelines using historical data to validate performance and scalability; lead iterative improvements based on data-driven insights, optimizing CPI, LTV, and retention metrics.

What you’ll bring to the table:

    • 3+ years of industry experience in data science or machine learning
    • A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field, with dual degrees a plus.
    • The ability to take an ambiguously defined task and break it down into actionable steps, leveraging data-driven insights.
    • A comprehensive understanding of statistics, optimization,, and machine learning techniques to drive performance improvements.
    • Proficiency in coding, data structures, and algorithms, with hands-on experience working with large datasets.
    • Working knowledge of mobile user acquisition strategies and a solid understanding of programmatic advertising, including attribution models, ad exchanges, and bidding dynamics.
    • A passion for working in a friendly, collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business impact.
