We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to develop and optimize cloud-based applications/platforms for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a modern DevOps mindset, excellent knowledge of the latest tools & technologies, and extensive experience working in remote agile environments. As a DevOps Engineer at NearForm, you will work on client projects developing infrastructure, creating deployment pipelines, designing high-availability approaches, and implementing monitoring architecture. You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive technical discussions, and advise on best practices and approaches. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a drive to improve. This is a full-time and remote position for candidates based in India, available to start within 30 days.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to develop and optimize our client's cloud-based applications/platforms; the ideal candidate will have a modern DevOps mindset, excellent knowledge of the latest DevOps tools & technologies, and extensive experience working in a remote agile environment.
As a DevOps Engineer at NearForm, you will work on client projects developing infrastructure to support cloud-based applications, creating deployment architect and continuous delivery pipelines, designing high-availability approaches, and implementing monitoring architecture (dashboards, alerts, escalations).
Essential skills
Proficient communication in English (oral and written)
Experience delivering at an enterprise level and a remote agile environment.
Experience managing and automating complex platforms/applications on GCP & Azure
Experience working with containers and container orchestration, ideally including Kubernetes
Experience with infrastructure as code technology, ideally with Terraform
Experience with CI and building CD pipelines, ideally with Github actions
Data storage experience with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
Solid understanding of observability practices across the stack
Experience with security assessments frameworks (eg. Soc2) and security awareness throughout the stack
Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders, feeling comfortable in client-facing roles where you will drive technical discussions and advise on best practices and approaches.
Desirable skills
Posses any of the following Google Cloud certifications: Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Data Engineer
Experience with Digital Ocean
Experience with Ansible
Experience with other cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure
