Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Compensation to lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in compensation structures, market benchmarking, and customer success. They will partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to develop competitive compensation strategies aligned with company goals. The role involves conducting market research, overseeing annual compensation planning cycles, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, and collaborating with HRIS and technology teams to optimize compensation tools and reporting capabilities. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel and compensation tools, and experience working in a global technology or fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, execution, and administration of broad-based compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and pay benchmarking.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to develop competitive compensation strategies aligned with company goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to ensure Rackspace remains an employer of choice.
- Oversee annual compensation planning cycles, including merit increases, promotions, and budget recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and international compensation regulations.
- Provide expertise in job evaluation, leveling, and salary band development.
- Collaborate with HRIS and technology teams to optimize compensation tools and reporting capabilities.
- Support M&A activities by evaluating and integrating compensation programs as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and compensation tools (e.g., MarketPay, Workday).
- Deep knowledge of compensation laws and regulations (FLSA, pay transparency, etc.).
- Experience working in a global technology or fast-paced environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification is a plus.
- Some familiarity in US benefit theory and processes a plus
