About the job

  • As a Senior Product Data Analyst, you will own one or more of Contentsquare’s strategic annual initiatives and make it successful by leveraging a wide range of data to uncover actionable insights.

  • Success in this role means developing strong partnerships with Product Management and Engineering leaders (Managers and Directors) to identify data-driven ways to improve Contentsquare’s product, user experience and retention.

  • You’ll join the Product Insights team, within the Engineering, Product and Design department. The Product Insights team is composed of Product Data Analysts and Product Researchers and is responsible for deriving 360 degree views of Contentsquare’s customers, product, market, and business performance to guide product strategy, roadmap and investment areas. This role will report to Sr. Product Data Analytics Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Define product KPIs that are leading indicators of customer satisfaction and company financial performance (eg gross retention, expansion, etc). Use these metrics to help set OKRs and monitor customer and product health

  • Conduct complex analyses pulling together data from across the company (product, finance, sales, customer success, etc) to quantify the size and impact of various potential product investment areas to prioritize product roadmap

  • Partner with Product Managers to conduct after-action analyses to understand if product changes had the desired effect, and uncover learnings for further iteration.

  • Leverage tools like Heap and Metabase to create reporting and analysis capabilities stakeholders can use independently

  • Work with software and data engineers to gain access to new sources of data to make available for your own analysis and stakeholders’ self-serve capabilities

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience analyzing clickstream/user behavior data

  • Ability to take a challenging problem or question, identify the most important aspects, find the data needed, and recommend data-driven solutions. You thrive in taking a problem from ambiguity to actionability

  • Experience with data modeling and conducting complex data analysis in SQL/R/Python

  • Ability to convey complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong written, verbal and data visualization communication skills

  • Comfortable working in an agile environment and building relationships with Product Managers, Engineers and Designers

Nice-to-have

  • Experience using Heap and/or Contentsquare platform.

  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS business models.

  • Experience building predictive models to forecast customer and business health, including in low data volume environments.
