BVNK logo

Senior Product Manager - Merchant Experience

BVNK

Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Product Manager for Merchant Experience at BVNK, where you'll lead the vision and strategy for creating exceptional payments experiences for merchants. You'll collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, and commercial teams to build products that merchants love and set us apart in the competitive payments industry. With a deep understanding of user experience and payments, you'll spearhead product strategy, manage the product roadmap, and champion best-in-class UX/UI design. We offer fair and competitive salary, flexible working hours, and opportunities for growth and travel. If you're passionate about growth, customer-obsessed, and have experience in product-led companies, we encourage you to apply.

About us:

BVNK provides modern payment infrastructure for businesses. We unify banks and blockchains in a single platform. With BVNK, businesses can send and receive stablecoin payments, convert between currencies, and add stablecoin payments to their checkout. Using our flexible platform, and robust global licensing and compliance expertise, innovators can launch new payment products quickly and compliantly.

We are a diverse team spread across the UK, Europe, South Africa, the US, and APAC, with a shared belief that all payment flows will interact with crypto in the coming decade, and BVNK will be at the forefront of this transformation of the financial system. We have raised $50M in Series B funding from top investors including Haun Ventures, Tiger Global, and Coinbase Ventures, and we're looking for smart, ambitious people to help us build the next generation of payments.

We're incredibly honored to have made Newsweek's list of The Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces 2 years running (2023 and 2024) and to have been recognized by LinkedIn as one of the Top 20 Startups in the UK in 2024.

About this role in the team:

Vision and Strategy

As the Senior Product Manager for Merchant Experience (MXP), you will be responsible for creating exceptional payments experiences for our merchants. This involves developing intuitive, reliable, and efficient customer-facing applications that support Treasury and Payment Operations teams processing tens of thousands of transactions daily. You will own the vision and strategy for Merchant Experience which spans across crypto payments, fiat processing and trading, ensuring BVNK's solutions are seamless, compliant, and user-friendly.

Collaboration and Innovation

This role requires a deep understanding of user experience and payments, coupled with strategic thinking. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, compliance, and commercial teams to build products that merchants love and that set BVNK apart in the competitive payments industry. Your leadership will drive feature development that enhances how businesses interact with BVNK's payment products and the payment lifecycle.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Spearhead and implement the product strategy for merchant-facing payment experiences, encompassing both crypto and fiat currencies.
  • Manage and uphold a product roadmap that aligns with business priorities and customer requirements.
  • Champion best-in-class user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design to guarantee seamless merchant interactions.

Customer-Centric Product Development

  • Acquire a deep understanding of the needs of Payment Operations teams managing high transaction volumes and convert these insights into product requirements.
  • Define and rank features, enhancements, and optimizations to deliver a world-class payments experience.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to validate product decisions.

Payments & Compliance Expertise

  • Ensure products adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements while preserving a frictionless user experience.
  • Stay informed about crypto and fiat payments trends to maintain BVNK's position at the forefront of payment innovation.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to manage regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions.

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver superior products rapidly.
  • Define and monitor key product metrics, utilizing data to inform decisions and enhance performance.
  • Partner with commercial teams to drive merchant adoption and gather customer feedback.

What we need from you:

  • Experience working in a product-led company, owning a high-growth customer-facing payments product, particularly B2B.
  • Deep understanding of how API based payment products work
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the crypto payments landscape and technologies.
  • Experience working with engineers on a daily basis, and leading the team with context rather than authority
  • Customer-obsessed, experience in putting the customer experience first.
  • Strong collaboration skills - you’d consider yourself a “people person”, just as happy working with engineers on specific tasks as you are presenting to the company on KPIs and feature launches, gathering feedback from customers and the sales team, and generally working cross-functionally across the business
  • A true self-starter, not waiting for direction but leading the charge of your domain
  • Experience in a heavily data-driven environment, using data to guide decision-making at every stage of the product life cycle
  • A passion for growth, obsessively focussing on how we can grow usage and adoption of our products

What you can expect from us:

  • Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growth
  • Meaningful ownership in the business through our employee option scheme
  • Flexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heart
  • A culture built on passionate growth-minded people
  • A flexible approach to holiday
  • Opportunities to travel to our offices around the world
  • An open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, its culture, and its opportunity sets

At BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team. While you may not meet all of our requirements, we’d encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of our expectations. You may be a great fit for this role or another role in our team.
